Fascias & Soffits

Very few houses don’t have soffits, fascias and bargeboards present, the same goes for panels of softwood timber cladding. The main issue with them is that they require an enormous amount of looking after, either needing a fresh lick of paint every few years or some form of extensive repair. Rather than go to the trouble of resolving such issues properly, some property owners choose to have capping boards fitted over the existing softwood/timber fascias to help disguise any rotting timber. This is no doubt a cost effective solution, but it’s only a short-term measure and won’t do anything to actually rectify the situation, in fact doing so could end up costing you more in the long run. There’s every chance the fascias could eventually become exposed and unsecured as the rotting wood forces the nails to come loose.

Bargeboards

The roof timbers are protected and concealed by the bargeboards, which also help to keep roof lining consistent with no sight of unsightly gaps or holes. Our bargeboards are manufactured utilising UPVC which means that they’re totally maintenance-free and will do an even better job of shielding them from all forms of weather. There’s no chance of them rotting like softwood timber and they’ll never need repainting. We supply them in all manner of styles and colours.
